How to use egg mask to bring benefit to your hair?

Egg is a kind of food that contains a lot of nutrition, it can bring very balanced nutrition to your body, but have you thought, egg also can bring surprising benefit to your hair?

Whatever your hair type or the kind of mask you need, the hair egg mask may well be the solution you’ve been waiting for for a long time.

Give strength to your hair

Eggs are rich in sulphur, biotin and protein. They contain all the necessary ingredients to help you strengthen your hair.

There are many conditioners on the market that boast of being able to restore strength to your hair so that it is less brittle, but the chemicals they contain are not always good for our hair or the scalp.

You can make a basic egg mask, but the positive effects of eggs can be improved by adding some very simple ingredients to the mask. Here is a very easy recipe to make that will help you to restore strength to your hair:

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons of honey

Mix it all together and apply to dry hair. Massage your scalp. Cover your hair with a bathing cap. Let the mask work as long as possible (all night long is better). Wash with warm water without using shampoo.

I do not recommend this recipe if your hair is particularly oily. If your hair is not usually greasy, but it is after the treatment, use a mild shampoo after rinsing. I recommend that you do this mask once a month.

Egg mask, a natural moisturizer

Thanks to lecithin, zinc, phosphorus, vitamins (A, D B12, B8 and B9) and the selenium contained in eggs, egg masks are the perfect treatment for damaged hair. But they can also help to boost your hair, which sometimes looks “thirsty”.

I propose a second recipe which this time aims to moisturize your dry hair.

  • 1 or 2 egg yolks depending on the length of your hair
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 plain yoghurt

Mix the egg yolks, olive oil and honey. Add enough yoghurt to give the mixture a creamy consistency, not too liquid. Let the mask work for an hour and a half and rinse with cold water. Repeat this operation once a month to keep your hair hydrated.

Egg mask for hair VS scalp oily

In a match between them, the egg mask knocks down the oily scalpel. Egg white has an interesting property: that of degreasing hair. But we absolutely do not want to go from an oily scalp to dry, brittle hair. There are masks made from egg white, but I don’t recommend them.

Instead, I suggest a simple recipe: mix 1 whole egg, an egg white and a few drops of lemon; apply the mask to damp hair; leave to work for an hour; rinse with cold water.

A simple, effective recipe, based on 100% natural ingredients and which does not cost much. In addition, once your hair is less oily, it regains volume.

Prevents hair loss

I would be hard pressed to show you the results of a scientific study proving that eggs help hair grow 5 to 10 centimetres in three months or reduce hair loss by 25%.

But since eggs contain a lot of protein and hair is made of protein, it is reasonable to assume that this grandmother’s recipe can’t hurt our hair.

I’m not going to sell you the miracle recipe for baldness, but it’s worth trying this mask made with eggs and castor oil. Just mix two eggs and a few drops of castor oil. Leave it on for one hour. Rinse with warm water.

Avoid cutting your hair and repair your split ends

By applying an egg mask regularly, you can delay going to the hairdresser to remove your split ends. For this mask also the recipe is quite simple.

  • 1 egg yolk
  • Half a glass of milk
  • A few drops of lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of honey

Mix all ingredients and apply to dry hair, paying particular attention to the ends. Let the mask work for about 30 minutes before rinsing with warm water. You can do this mask twice a week until you get the desired result.

As you can see, egg masks are very easy to make and have many benefits. The most important point to remember is that you should always rinse your hair with cold or warm water to avoid getting scrambled eggs on your head.
