Is it harder to lose weight than others? Maybe it’s because you’re shorter than others!

Is it harder to lose weight than others? Maybe it’s because you’re shorter than others!

This in the end is why? According to a study led by Craig Primarck, president of the French Society of Obesity Medicine, this is not due to a life-threatening or accidental accident, but rather to their metabolism.

On the one hand, a woman consumes an average of 1400 calories per day, but this actually applies only to women of about mid-height (about 1.62 meters). Calorie intake is proportional to body height, so some very tall women need as many as 1,800 calories a day, while other short women need only 1200 calories a day.

On the other hand, various types of organs, muscles, and bones constitute the body’s “lean meat organization.” The shorter the human body is, the smaller the lean tissue and the less calories needed to maintain normal life. This makes it clear: If a shorter person consumes calories of the same size as a tall person every day, he will need to spend more time consuming it, and because their muscles themselves are smaller, they burn. The calorie efficiency is also lower, and there is a tendency to store excess fat.
